Overview of client requirements:

CP School is set in a rural village in South Suffolk, near to the market town of Sudbury. The area and the school have some challenging issues, in terms of the local population, including some pupils and their families. The Head Teacher, Liz Steele asked us to put together a program to help cope with some difficult and dangerous situations her staff has found themselves in, including training and policy advice.

The solution we provided:

We consulted with the staff at length and produced a bespoke training course working specifically towards minimising the risk of assaults on staff from family members. This included elements of school policy which we advised on and was subsequently changed (and included within the course content). Also included within the content of the course were awareness, communication and very basic physical skills to manage challenges efficiently and safely.
