Overview of client requirements:

Siemens Energy Services provide a range of services within the energy sector. Their staff have been at risk and on occasion badly assaulted. They required a course to be developed initially to provide simple solutions for avoiding or managing challenging situations.

More recently they approached us to provide a train the trainer course so that they can maintain their own staff training requirements in house.

The solution we provided:

In consultation with the Siemens Health and Safety Manager, we decided that a Conflict Management Course would be the most appropriate and positive option for them. They wanted to give their staff some strong communication skills to assist in some of the challenging working environments they were being asked to work in. Ikon Training produced a bespoke conflict resolution course which worked alongside their own health and safety policy.

In light of some difficult situations Siemens Engineers and Meter Readers find themselves in more regularly, Siemens wanted to provide a course and their own trainers to be able to deliver it. We produced a bespoke Breakaway Training Course for them and a Five Day Bespoke Train the Trainer Course. They will now be able to deliver the course in larger numbers to more vulnerable members of staff to reduce abstractions and incidents involving staff members.
