Overview of client requirements

The North West London Hospitals NHS Trust manages Northwick Park, St Mark’s and Central Middlesex Hospitals. Each year they care for more than half a million people living across Brent, Harrow and beyond - making them one of the biggest and busiest NHS Trusts in the capital

They requested a solution to some problems they were having in attendance at Conflict Resolution Training sessions lasting for six hours. The numbers were relatively low due to departments having difficulties releasing staff for this time scale. The requirement was to deliver two shorter courses within the one day and still fulfil the aims and objectives as per the CFSMS guidelines.

The Solution we provided

We planned and delivered a series of pilot courses delivering two four hour CRT sessions within one day. This allows managers to release staff for mandatory training and still have them available for a period of time during the day. Numbers of staff attending these sessions is high and the Trust is regularly training almost 48 delegates per day. The requirement to fulfil the CFSMS learning outcomes within a relevant and worthwhile course has been met and the feedback from delegates has been very positive.
