| Course Objectives: |

By the end of the course, delegates should be able to: |
- Explain the importance of 360º awareness, effective stance and movement
- Show an understanding of relevant use of force legislation and medical implications of techniques
- Demonstrate fundamental self defence principles
- Demonstrate balance displacement techniques
- Demonstrate approved control techniques.
- Demonstrate effective teamwork.
- Demonstrate basic search skills
- Apply learned skills in appropriate training scenario’s
- Understand the importance of post incident procedures and report writing skills
Content
We will aim to start at 9.00am and finish at 4.00pm with appropriate comfort and meal breaks. The content of the day will include the following using a variety of methodology following the principles of adult learning.
The aim of this training is to produce dedicated select stewards with enhanced skills to provide the stadia with effective systems to deal with difficult individuals. The ejection teams should be viewed as a viable interim option prior to police intervention. To provide a positive learning experience for the delegates, the training will culminate in realistic but safe stadium scenarios ranging from a basic complaint up to and including the removal of aggressive individuals from the premises.
- Recap level 1 training
- Searching of customers
- Tactical awareness (360°), stance and movement
- Non-aggressive postures and safe approach
- Safe moving in crowds (hip checking, shoulder tipping etc)
- Common attacks and simple blocking skills
- Appropriate restraints (escort and reinforced escort and transport wristlock)
- Ejection teams and tactics
- Medical implications of all techniques
- Report writing skills
- Stadium scenarios to include searching and removal
